Your college education is an investment in your future and paying for college doesn’t require that you go deep into debt. Understanding financial aid, the cost of attendance and scholarship opportunities is key to unlocking many of the resources available to help you pay for college.
There are many types of financial aid available to help you pay for college. Our financial aid advisors are experts at helping you to identify the options that will work best for you and your situation and helping to guide you through the process.

Over 30 different scholarships are exclusively available to students enrolled in UAF CTC programs. These scholarships are made available through individual and local industry donors and highlight the individual and industry support UAF CTC and its mission to develop a work-ready workforce. Applications are due by February 15th of each year for scholarships applicable to the following academic year, starting in the fall. In addition to the UA Foundation Scholarships, CTC students are also eligible for the Grainger Tools for Tomorrow Scholarship Program, due in March, and the Golden Valley Electric Association’s Career & Technical Education Scholarship, due in July. Applications for the Grainger scholarship can be picked up in 604 Barnette or emailed upon request from the CTC Financial Aid Advisor. Applications for the GVEA Scholarship can be picked up at 604 Barnette, emailed upon request, or are available online at GVEA’s website.
