Learn About Applying to UAF CTC
Submitting an application to UAF is the first step to being admitted into a degree program and is required to be eligible for financial aid. The application process is also the first step for students new to UAF who just want to take a class.
Just want to take a class?
If you just want to take a class without applying to a degree program and you want to complete your class registration online, you will need to submit an application to register as a Non Degree Seeking Registrant.
Submitting an application is not necessary if you intend to register for classes in person. For more information about registering in person, visit: How to Register: In Person
Interested in earning a certificate or degree?
Submit an application for admission as a degree student if:
- You are interested in earning an occupational endorsement, certificate or degree.
- You will be using financial aid.
Need to re-apply?
You will need to submit an application to re-apply for admission if:
- You have not attended any University of Alaska campus within the last two years.
- You are interested in earning an occupational endorsement, certificate or degree.
- You will be using financial aid.
When to Apply
You can apply to UAF at any time; however, there are a few dates that you should keep in mind.
Applications to be admitted for the fall semester are due by June 15 and by November 1 for the spring semester.
Applications submitted after deadlines will be still be received; however, the process may not be completed before the start of the semester, which could impact financial aid eligibility. If you are concerned about your application and your financial aid eligibility, contact the UAF CTC Student Services and Registration Center.
