Hands-on Experience While Earning College Credit
The Tech Prep program is a concurrent enrollment program offered in cooperation between the UAF Community & Technical College and other educational institutions. The program recognizes high quality courses offered at the high school or vocational/technical level and provides students the opportunity to earn university credits toward a certificate and/or degree by completing classes in their high school or vocational technical education institution that have been approved for college credit.
Tech Prep allows students to:
- Get a head start in an occupational endorsement, certificate, or degree program.
- Transfer credits from UAF CTC to another university or college.
- Apply skills for immediate entry-level employment after completing a course of study at their home institution.
