Students at the Community and Technical College can get weekly wellness counseling services at the CTC downtown campus on Barnette Street.
Every Wednesday from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., a counselor from the Student Health and Counseling Center (SHCC) will be available to meet with students and assist with individual needs.
Students seek counseling to address a variety of concerns relating to relationships, academic stress, interpersonal concerns and overall mental health wellness. The UAF Student Health and Counseling Center hopes to support students with their goals and help them to achieve academic success.
The UAF Student Health and Counseling Center promotes the well-being of our students. UAF SHCC assists students in acquiring the knowledge, skills and behaviors necessary to recover and build and maintain healthy, balanced lifestyles. Our mission also includes fostering a healthy campus environment through prevention and outreach activities.
To schedule an appointment please call 474-7043 or 455-2967 and ask for Stacey Schmitt, or visit the CTC counseling office on Wednesdays. The counseling office is on the second floor, room #205A, at 604 Barnette St., in Fairbanks.
