The UAF Community and Technical College is excited to be offering courses to the Delta Junction/Fort Greely community. Classes are held at the Delta Career Advancement Center, a new state of the art facility, conveniently located at 1696 North Clearwater Avenue.
The Partners for Progress in Delta, Inc. consortium delivers education and job training to adults and high school students through the UAF Community and Technical College, Alaska Works Partnership, University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service and the Delta/Greely School District.
The consortium facilitates education and training for those seeking the skills necessary for career advancement and employment opportunities on current construction projects in the area and around the state.
The consortium is committed to preparing students for long-term employment through an increase in vocational technical preparation classes. Responsiveness to community and industry demand has been a priority. Community interest classes, short-term business oriented classes, and custom courses have all been offered in response to interest and need.
The consortium works out of the Delta Career Advancement Center, a multiple-use facility that provides adults and high school students training and educational programming. The Center boasts a 7,000 square-foot shop and two formal classrooms equipped with the latest technology.
